Maureen Costello M.A., CIP

Ms. Costello has worked in the retail and image management field for over 18 years with companies such as Talbot’s and Paul Stuart, in both the wholesale and retail sector for men and women’s wear. She owned a custom clothing salon for businesswomen in Chicago. Her career emphasis continues in the area of corporate image management.

She received a M.A. in Communications from Marquette University. Ms. Costello earned a B.A. degree in Marketing from the College of St. Catherine as well as an A.S. from The Fashion Institute of Technology with an honors award for her Creativity.

As a consultant in the US and Singapore for four years, Ms. Costello worked with large multinational companies. Some of her clients included ABN-AMRO, Hewlett-Packard, Baxter Healthcare and Edelman Public Relations. The majority of her consulting assignments assist staff members to develop visual appearance strategies. A sample of those topics include: Leveraging Your Professional Presence, Dining for Business, Using Color for Business Impact, and Developing Your Personal Style. In a course called “The Corporate Experience” Ms. Costello works with multicultural high school students in central Chicago. The goal is to increase the student’s professional presence levels as they prepare for summer job interviews.

In addition, she assists individuals in setting standards for visual impact that promote confidence and add polish for building lasting positive personal impressions. Ms. Costello is a Certified Image Professional and is an active member of the Colour Designers Association.
